Cypress Environmental Consulting – Houston, TX

- Utilized Esri ArcGIS Pro to manage data and produce high-quality field maps and report figures for cultural and natural resources projects

- Created and edited water feature polygons based on Trimble GPS field data points; populated attributes and calculated geometries for use in wetland delineation reports

- Introduced new geoprocessing tools to the team and created custom tools in ModelBuilder to expedite routine workflows

- Planned and conducted experiments to study the effects of soil composition on nutrient density in produce

- Used a refractometer to obtain Brix measurements and assess sugar content of juice extracted from plant tissue samples

Urban Wildlife Intern (June 2017 - August 2017)

Urban Wildlife Institute at the Lincoln Park Zoo – Chicago, IL

- Actively participated in data collection for several ongoing wildlife research projects including population monitoring of Black-crowned Night Herons (BCNH), trapping of freshwater turtles for a mark-recapture study, and small-mammal trapping

- Completed an independent data analysis project examining changes in the size and nesting locations of the BCNH population over several years and gave a final oral presentation of results to LPZ Conservation & Science department

- Collaborated with a small team to efficiently complete daily tasks and problem solve when working in the field
